Privacy notice
Last updated 23 October 2026
This notice explains what personal data Kilosmith Ltd collects when you use Kilosmith, why, and your rights. Kilosmith Ltd is the data controller. Contact us at hubboldj+kilosmith@gmail.com.
What we collect
- Account details: your email address, and your name and profile picture if you sign in with Google.
- Profile: your first name (optional), age, body weight, gym experience, goals and training days.
- Training data: workouts, sets, weights, reps, templates, plans and programmes.
- Physio answers: if you use the Physio section and start a plan, the area that hurts, how long and how badly, and which exercises you tick off.
- Activity: when you last used the app, so we can tell you before an inactive account is deleted.
- Feature use: which parts of the app you use, such as opening the Plan tab, starting a workout or using the timer, with the time. We don't record anything about your physio plan this way.
We don't use third-party analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. Feature use is recorded in our own database and isn't shared. See our Cookies page.
Why we use it
- To run your account and show you your log, progress and recommendations. The legal basis is our contract with you.
- To see which features people use, so we can improve Kilosmith. The legal basis is our legitimate interests.
- To keep Kilosmith secure and to email you about your account, such as sign-in codes and inactivity warnings. The legal basis is our legitimate interests.
Your body weight, training data and physio answers can say something about your health. We only store your physio answers when you choose to start a plan, which is your explicit consent, and ending the plan deletes them. We only use this data to run the app for you unless you clearly agree otherwise, and we never sell it.
Who we share it with
We may share your personal data with third parties in these cases:
- Companies that run Kilosmith for us, under contracts that protect your data: Supabase (database and sign-in, data stored in Ireland, EU), Vercel (website hosting), Google (only if you sign in with Google) and our email provider (account emails).
- Our partners, such as gyms, personal trainers and fitness brands we work with. We may share your name, email address and account details with them. If a partner wants to use your details for their own marketing, we only share them with your consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by emailing hubboldj+kilosmith@gmail.com.
- If the law requires it, or to protect the rights, safety or property of Kilosmith, our users or others.
- If Kilosmith is sold or merges with another business, to the new owner, who must look after your data in line with this notice.
We never share your training log, body weight or physio answers with partners unless you clearly agree to it first, and we never sell your data.
Where a provider handles data outside the UK, we rely on the UK's approved safeguards, such as adequacy regulations or standard contract clauses.
If you join a gym
If you enter a gym's code, that gym's managers see you only as part of its totals, such as how many members trained this week, unless you choose to share. If you tick "Share my training with my gym and PT", the gym's managers and the PT you pick can see your name, the programme you're following, when you last trained and how many sessions you've done, plus the name and size of your recent workouts so they can like them. You see who liked each workout. Your physio answers, body weight and age are never shared with your gym. You can change this or leave sharing off at any time in your profile.
How long we keep it
We keep your data while you have an account. If you don't use Kilosmith for 12 months, we delete your account and data after emailing you 30 days, 7 days and 1 day beforehand. You can delete it sooner at any time from Profile, Delete my account, or ask us to do it.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct, download or delete your data, or object to how we use it. Email hubboldj+kilosmith@gmail.com and we will reply within one month. If you're unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Kilosmith is for people aged 13 and over.
